Birkenhead Ferry to Viaduct (Downtown Auckland CBD)

Image
The Harbour Bridge (view from the Ferry Boat) The ferry that we rode onto from CBD to Birkenhead A view of CBD form Birkenhead Last night, Stormy and I decided to explore the Central Business District (CBD) of Auckland, New Zealand by means of using the Ferry from Birkenhead. We got lost previously form our escapades that we, luckily, got a chance to see the Birkenhead Ferry area. It was mentioned before by a friend that you can park your car outside the ferry and then go to CBD using this method but I have forgotten all about it until we got lost. During that time, I saw some people (couples and some young adults) went downtown using this transportation so I said to him that next time we better do it as well. It was a different experience to go downtown via the ferry route. We park our car outside the ferry which is pretty much safe. AT Hop Machine We used our ATHop Cards to pay for our fare which cost about NZD 4.80 (one way). On the otherhand, if you do not h...

Balloons Over Waikato

Image
The balloons of Mighty Waikato :) Last March 2018,  My friends and I visited the famous "Balloons Over Waikato" at Innes Common in Hamilton Lake. I felt so bad due to my recent reaction to a whooping cough vaccine but that did not prevent me from going and seeing the majestic balloons soar up in the sky. The parking was not a problem. There are huge spaces that you can park your car. But of course, if you want to have the "bets ones," you have to come early. More-so, the event is free so you don't have to spend anything. The program started  around 0630hrs w ith a small balloon being put up into life. It was astonishing seeing young people commit to this kind of hobby.Apparently, this is a sports to them. I was amused because (of course) I did not know that it was a sport. My ignorance waving at me again. But according to the wisdom of elders, there is no specific and required time to learn something new. :) First balloon of the day starte...

Sociology Class - Random Reactions

Mafia uses ORGANIZATIONAL BEHAVIOR in their organization.  Mafia is a big organization. Their size does not bother their ability to exist in the world. Wherever country you go, Mafia has a contact person. This ability, according to Dra. Sevilla, surfaces because they observe behavior. They follow a system that is very organized that leads to big goals with maximum efficiency. I was shocked and also awed by the fact that almost every human behavior, decision and  reaction are able to be explained by SOCIOLOGY.  Machine Model: Rational System I do not like this model because this actually compares humans as organism without a heart. It allows top management to treat each and every employee as things and as somebody who is irreplaceable. It demeans the value of being a human. I am thankful that most organizations that I know of have not have this kind of system. IGLESIA NI KRISTO According to Dra. Sevilla, people who have Iglesia ni Kristo as their religion ...

Naturalism

Naturalism is the a kind of philosophy where NATURE IS THE SUPREME TEACHER. When I heard of this definition, I agree immediately because of the root word. Moreso, when we say of naturalism it means that the learnings should be coming from the present day life. It does not include the learnings that are on books or in schools which is quite disappointing because majority of the things that I learned came from it. The book, "THE HUNGER GAMES," can actually be one of the best examples of Naturalism in the sense that most of the challenges to the children who are undergoing the game came from nature and the present day life and that they must overcome it . This would also support the idea that the UNIVERSE IS A HUGE MACHINE because the challenges given to them are all created in a systematic way like that of a clock. In every hour, there is this kind of challenges given to a specific location.  This book was already made to a film. I actually recommend this book. It is a good re...
