Last night, Stormy and I decided to explore the Central Business District (CBD) of Auckland, New Zealand by means of using the Ferry from Birkenhead. We got lost previously form our escapades that we, luckily, got a chance to see the Birkenhead Ferry area. It was mentioned before by a friend that you can park your car outside the ferry and then go to CBD using this method but I have forgotten all about it until we got lost. During that time, I saw some people (couples and some young adults) went downtown using this transportation so I said to him that next time we better do it as well. It was a different experience to go downtown via the ferry route. We park our car outside the ferry which is pretty much safe.

We used our ATHop Cards to pay for our fare which cost about NZD 4.80 (one way). On the otherhand, if you do not have an ATHop card you need to pay NZD 7.00. So for my suggestion, have an ATHop card. You will save a lot if you have one specially if you live in Auckland. Do not forget to tag on and tag off your ATHop card or you will be charge more. The travel just lasted for less than 20 minutes. There is no traffic 😉 It was one of the best travelling method I experienced. It was magical. From Birkenhead, it goes straight to CBD.

A reminder that you are supposed to Tag on and Tag off after riding the ferry if you are using the AT Hop.




I learned that you can bring your pets 🐶🐹😺with you in the ferry as long as you look after them and you pick up you know what..💩 If you want also to bring your bike you can do so as well. 🚲The staff are nice and accommodating and they always say hi and thank you, which makes the experience even more fun.



 I enjoyed it most because you will see the Harbour Bridge up close and personal. Corny as it may sound, but it was romantic. Imagine being under the bridge with all the lights shining from it and the sound of the waves lingering in your ears. There is also the wind kissing your cheeks and the sound of the ferry boat arriving the fort which gives you a lot of satisfaction. The stars vividly twinkling and the moon waving at you all throughout the journey were exhilarating. I found happiness in that moment. Seeing the harbour bridge from below and thinking how the hell can they build this thing from scratch. It is a majestic architectural wonder. I was able to get cool pictures of the bridge and of course amazing selfies and astounding  cover photos 😆😆😆 I recommend this very much if you want a cheap date with your lover, husband or partner. Children will also enjoy and appreciate this. I will try this again and again and probably next time make it a morning journey so I can see the difference between a morning and an evening travel.

Morningstar at The PumpHouse Theatre

THE WAR IN HEAVEN HAS JUST BEGUN!!! One of the plays that was advertised by The PumpHouse Theatre was entitled, "Morningstar." When I saw it, I said to myself that it is a unique play that I have not heard of. This is the first time that this play was acted upon in a theatre. So, the curiousness heightened and I forced Ronald to watch it with me in June 2018. The story centres around the angels in heaven and their building issues with one another while their father was away. The timeline of the story started after earth was created and the Father has left heaven and nowhere to be found. The main setting of the play is Heaven and Eden.  Caveat: Spoilers Alert!!! If you have not watch this play... Please do not read this blog. I found this play unique and controversial in a sense that Lucifer was not portrayed as the devil. Anne Frank in Auckland War Memorial Museum

Auckland War Memorial Museum is currently showing an exhibit about Anne Frank entitled, "Let Me Be Myself - The Life Story of Anne Frank" which was supported by The Holocaust Centre of New Zealand. This exhibit is free if you are an Auckland resident (you just have to have a proof of address like an Auckland Library Card, phone bill or any identification with your address in it like your Driver's License) or if you purchase a Museum Entry Fee of NZD 25 for International Visitors or if you donated any amount for New Zealand Residents. It is accessible from 10am up to 5pm when the museum also closes. For the parking, there are numerous free parking spaces in Auckland Domain but for a certain time period. Teddy Bears would always be a child`s best sleeping buddy and even sometimes, his best friend. I fell in love with Teddy Bears when I was in High School because of its texture, appearance and its company. Yes, I am a self-confessed late bloomer. My teddy bears were all baptized. Paradise Indian Food in Auckland

  Our Take-Away/Take-Out Ronald loves Indian cuisine. It is because he loves spicy food. No amount of spiciness can make him cry or perspire. This is the reason why whenever we order food I cannot share it with him because I cannot eat it. A craving for Ronald means finding Indian food which is indirectly proportional to me because if I say I'm craving there could be a zillion things I could be craving for and he would be devastated in figuring what I want. The predicament I have when he said he is craving is that I cannot cook aunthentic Indian food. Hoyts in Wairau Park

Hearing about the popularity of the latest Avengers Movie entitled, "Avengers: Infinity War," I decided to ask for recommendations to some of my colleagues where to watch it. A lot answered, "Hoyts" in Wairau Park. Obediently, I research on it and went there the following day to try the movie house with Ronald. The place is located at 15 Link Drive, Wairau Valley, Auckland. Hoyts in Wairau Park There is a car park in the area so you don't have to worry where to park. Although, you have to be early because it is limited.  You have to wait for the other movie goers to leave and then take their place. The car park is free of charge. Parliament of owls :) Are you dreaming of becoming a treasure hunter? If you are, then, you must do the Big Hoot Trail in Auckland. The Big Hoot Trail was created to support the Child Cancer Foundation in raising funds that will help the children who have been battling the Big C and their families. It provides awareness to the masses and give them the opportunity to get involved. At the end of the trail, all the owls will be auctioned in May 29, 2018 to raise funds to support over 1700 families who fights cancer in New Zealand. The Trail Map was launched last March 3, 2018 and will have its ending day (fly away day) at May 6, 2018. Each owl was like a treasure waiting to be unlocked. When Ticket Master announced Niall Horan is coming to Auckland, I was intrigued. I know that he is part of One Direction before but I was more of a Backstreet Boy Fan...age-related. But when his ticket was put on special I said I better buy it since Ronald and I like his song, "Slow Hands." 🎫 Weeks before his much awaited concert, I asked my co-worker to swap our shift so I can see his concert.
