Teddy Bear Museum in Seoul, South Korea (BEAR WONDERLAND)

Teddy Bears would always be a child`s best sleeping buddy and even sometimes, his best friend. I fell in love with Teddy Bears when I was in High School because of its texture, appearance and its company. Yes, I am a self-confessed late bloomer. My teddy bears were all baptized. I have given them names and I even talked to them before I go to sleep.

Although, most would say I am psychotic for that matter but talking sometimes to an inanimate object was actually a stress-relieving activity. Bear Cuddler was actually the craze when it comes to Teddy Bear store before. Together with Blue Magic, I would always dwell in the parameters of SM Manila and Robinsons Place Ermita to look at the different bears displayed in crystal clear windows that would be very expensive to the allowance given to a high school student. Staring for hours would still be enough for me to dream that someday my man of my dreams would give me loads and loads of fluffy stuff bears as a form of courting gifts. Teddy Bear is a good memory for me. But then I have forgotten…

When Stormy and I went to South Korea, I would never believe what was in stored for me. I was there to do a professional milestones which my brain has already processed but never in my organized mind would I expect that a lost dream would come true. After a nervous day of presentation in front of many big people, Stormy brought me to Seoul Tower. Of course, my heart flapped it wings a million times of how lucky I am to find the man of my dreams who actually would like to stargaze with me and look at the skyscrapers even though I know that it would be boring for a typical man. However, my heart, even more, did a cartwheel when he said that we would first go to Teddy Bear Museum… I was shocked, amazed and breathless. TEDDY BEAR MUSEUM? What the heck?!?! Is there such a thing? I was not ready for that part.

You see, my boyfriend is actually good in geography and in directions which I am not. Before we went to Korea, he already researched every places that we could go to. I just know back then that we would directly be transported by the fastest elevator to the Seoul Tower but I haven`t had any idea that a teddy bear museum would exist in its base.

A breath of air escaped my lungs. Overwhelmed, captivated, fascinated!!! I was so happy that I would bring out my camera to take picture of every bear that I can see. There`s teddy bear of every occasion, teddy bear of every size, teddy bear of every genre, teddy bear of every history, teddy bear here and teddy bear there. I was sinking with heavy joy! When the tour was finished and I had engulfed every memory of bears in my system, I was put to a reflection…

Looking at my Stormy, I was peaceful and contented knowing that a happy and loving man was there to make my dreams come true even if I have forgotten one of my most childish dreams in life… TO VISIT A WORLD OF TEDDY BEARS.

I am blessed to have him!!!
