Niall Horan in Auckland 2018

When Ticket Master announced Niall Horan is coming to Auckland, I was intrigued. I know that he is part of One Direction before but I was more of a Backstreet Boy Fan...age-related. But when his ticket was put on special I said I better buy it since Ronald and I like his song, "Slow Hands." 🎫 Weeks before his much awaited concert, I asked my co-worker to swap our shift so I can see his concert. Good thing enough, she said yes 🤠🤠🤠 Another preparation I did was to listen to his album, "Flicker." Due to his sound, I fell in love with all of his songs. He is actually really good. His music is soothing and upbeat. It decreases my stress level and it becomes my lullaby and my walkathon theme song. The anticipation to watch his concert grew and grew...







The day arrived. After my morning shift, Ron and I went to Spark Arena. It is our first time to watch in that stadium. Ron got a bit weird because most of the people watching are teenagers and girls. I told him he could be the supportive partner. Although I now how awkward it is for him I know that he enjoyed the concert. Spark Arena is usually the stadium that most famous stars and artists do their concerts and acts due to its big capacity. When I was new in New Zealand, I just lived adjacent to it and dreamt of coming there and watch concerts and now I am living that dream. I know that it is a simple dream but it means big to me.




The first act was from Maren Morris. Truthfully speaking, I only know her because of her collaboration with Niall in the song, "Seeing Blind." She is beautiful and very talented. Her voice is very powerful. I realized that a lot of artists should be given a break so the public can actually know how talented they are. Thinking that if I did not attend Niall's concert I would not really appreciate her. She is amazing.💃




When Niall entered the stage, everyone got wild including me. It is so hard not to contain yourself. I felt that maybe Ronald got the shock of his life because he never saw my fan girl side. He might felt a bit uncomfortable seeing me yelling at the top of my voice, "Niall!!!" 🎸 Niall is a true artist. He can play the piano and guitar. He can dance and he talked to the crowd to get us engage in his performance. He sang all the songs in his album and he also performed other songs too. His band was amazing as well. Their teamwork and harmony makes the concert a blast. I felt like a teenager again. Growing up was never easy and being so studious and focus on school work made me not experience a lot of things when I was a teenager because I do not have the means. Now, experiencing this made me think that PATIENCE IS REALLY A VIRTUE. There are times that you thought that you are left out and that life is really hard but every hard work and sacrifices that you have will be paid off in the future. You just have to wait. This concert is more than a concert for me. It made me appreciate being patient.










The concert is one of the memorable shows I have watched. Thanks Niall and Maren for the performance. I went home happy and contented!

Morningstar at The PumpHouse Theatre

THE WAR IN HEAVEN HAS JUST BEGUN!!! One of the plays that was advertised by The PumpHouse Theatre was entitled, "Morningstar." When I saw it, I said to myself that it is a unique play that I have not heard of. This is the first time that this play was acted upon in a theatre. So, the curiousness heightened and I forced Ronald to watch it with me in June 2018. The story centres around the angels in heaven and their building issues with one another while their father was away. The timeline of the story started after earth was created and the Father has left heaven and nowhere to be found. The main setting of the play is Heaven and Eden.  Caveat: Spoilers Alert!!! If you have not watch this play... Please do not read this blog. I found this play unique and controversial in a sense that Lucifer was not portrayed as the devil. Anne Frank in Auckland War Memorial Museum

Auckland War Memorial Museum is currently showing an exhibit about Anne Frank entitled, "Let Me Be Myself - The Life Story of Anne Frank" which was supported by The Holocaust Centre of New Zealand. This exhibit is free if you are an Auckland resident (you just have to have a proof of address like an Auckland Library Card, phone bill or any identification with your address in it like your Driver's License) or if you purchase a Museum Entry Fee of NZD 25 for International Visitors or if you donated any amount for New Zealand Residents. It is accessible from 10am up to 5pm when the museum also closes. For the parking, there are numerous free parking spaces in Auckland Domain but for a certain time period. Teddy Bear Museum in Seoul, South Korea (BEAR WONDERLAND)

Teddy Bears would always be a child`s best sleeping buddy and even sometimes, his best friend. I fell in love with Teddy Bears when I was in High School because of its texture, appearance and its company. Yes, I am a self-confessed late bloomer. My teddy bears were all baptized. I have given them names and I even talked to them before I go to sleep.  Although, most would say I am psychotic for that matter but talking sometimes to an inanimate object was actually a stress-relieving activity. Bear Cuddler was actually the craze when it comes to Teddy Bear store before. Together with Blue Magic, I would always dwell in the parameters of SM Manila and Robinsons Place Ermita to look at the different bears displayed in crystal clear windows that would be very expensive to the allowance given to a high school student. Paradise Indian Food in Auckland

  Our Take-Away/Take-Out Ronald loves Indian cuisine. It is because he loves spicy food. No amount of spiciness can make him cry or perspire. This is the reason why whenever we order food I cannot share it with him because I cannot eat it. A craving for Ronald means finding Indian food which is indirectly proportional to me because if I say I'm craving there could be a zillion things I could be craving for and he would be devastated in figuring what I want. The predicament I have when he said he is craving is that I cannot cook aunthentic Indian food. Fortunately, a lot of my work colleagues are Indians and some of them recommend the eatery and take-away food chain, Paradise ☺☺☺ Of course, I have not yet tried it yet. Hoyts in Wairau Park

Hearing about the popularity of the latest Avengers Movie entitled, "Avengers: Infinity War," I decided to ask for recommendations to some of my colleagues where to watch it. A lot answered, "Hoyts" in Wairau Park. Obediently, I research on it and went there the following day to try the movie house with Ronald. The place is located at 15 Link Drive, Wairau Valley, Auckland. Hoyts in Wairau Park There is a car park in the area so you don't have to worry where to park. Although, you have to be early because it is limited.  You have to wait for the other movie goers to leave and then take their place. The car park is free of charge. The Big Hoot 2018

Parliament of owls :) Are you dreaming of becoming a treasure hunter? If you are, then, you must do the Big Hoot Trail in Auckland. The Big Hoot Trail was created to support the Child Cancer Foundation in raising funds that will help the children who have been battling the Big C and their families. It provides awareness to the masses and give them the opportunity to get involved. At the end of the trail, all the owls will be auctioned in May 29, 2018 to raise funds to support over 1700 families who fights cancer in New Zealand. The Trail Map was launched last March 3, 2018 and will have its ending day (fly away day) at May 6, 2018. Each owl was like a treasure waiting to be unlocked. One day I saw a white dove flying, soaring to the sky It dances against the wind of time just to reach Mt. Olympus… her palace! Other gray doves wanted to accompany her but she always commented with deep conviction,  “No and I’m sorry for I can’t afford distractions at this time of the day. Learning Anatomy and Physiology is hard since you only visualize things by means of looking in your black and white book. Internet is not yet popular and only rich people can have access with it.
