Hoyts in Wairau Park

Hearing about the popularity of the latest Avengers Movie entitled, "Avengers: Infinity War," I decided to ask for recommendations to some of my colleagues where to watch it. A lot answered, "Hoyts" in Wairau Park. Obediently, I research on it and went there the following day to try the movie house with Ronald. The place is located at 15 Link Drive, Wairau Valley, Auckland.
Hoyts in Wairau Park

There is a car park in the area so you don't have to worry where to park. Although, you have to be early because it is limited.  You have to wait for the other movie goers to leave and then take their place. The car park is free of charge.
Ticket Kiosk

There are ways to buy tickets. The one we did was we bought it through Vodaphone Friday Deals which costs about 11 dollars each plus booking fee. You must be under Vodaphone  services to buy from their deals. Bringing our printed ticket, we went to the kiosk where we scanned the ticket and choose what movie we want to watch and where to seat. The ticketing kiosk is easy to use. It is user-friendly. Another way to buy ticket is to go there and buy it from the Ticket Area or buy it online through the Hoyts website which is www.hoyts.co.nz.

The Candy Bar
Once inside, Hoyts Wairau offers snacks and drinks through their candy bar. You can buy popcorns, drinks, etc. They have some combos so you can have save money.
Hoyts Rewards :)

I found out about the Hoyts Rewards when we used the ticket kiosk. It was asking if we have a Hoyts Reward Card. After watching the movie I googled it and found out about the benefits. You can be a bronze or silver member. I chose Silver membership because you can earn points and used that to buy movie tickets or buy popcorn and drinks in the hoyts cafe. Also, upon signing you are entitled for a free movie ticket. The membership cost 13 NZD so I think that it has the same cost as one movie ticket and you have the benefit of earning points. The membership lasts for 1 year and then you have to renew. Every renewal, you will have a free ticket. All points you earned has an expiry period of 2 years.  For both bronze and silver, you can have a discount on the Movie of the Week. The recliner chairs are the best! It feels like I am watching the movie at home. It is very comfortable. I am actually lying in it the whole time I am watching the film. I definitely would go back there. I think only Hoyts Wairau Park has the recliner chairs in Auckland. Apparently, Hoyts is trying to put the recliner chairs in their other branches in Auckland.

We are very contented and happy watching the movie here in Hoyts Wairau. We will be back :)

Morningstar at The PumpHouse Theatre

THE WAR IN HEAVEN HAS JUST BEGUN!!! One of the plays that was advertised by The PumpHouse Theatre was entitled, "Morningstar." When I saw it, I said to myself that it is a unique play that I have not heard of. This is the first time that this play was acted upon in a theatre. So, the curiousness heightened and I forced Ronald to watch it with me in June 2018. The story centres around the angels in heaven and their building issues with one another while their father was away. The timeline of the story started after earth was created and the Father has left heaven and nowhere to be found. The main setting of the play is Heaven and Eden.  Caveat: Spoilers Alert!!! Anne Frank in Auckland War Memorial Museum

Auckland War Memorial Museum is currently showing an exhibit about Anne Frank entitled, "Let Me Be Myself - The Life Story of Anne Frank" which was supported by The Holocaust Centre of New Zealand. This exhibit is free if you are an Auckland resident (you just have to have a proof of address like an Auckland Library Card, phone bill or any identification with your address in it like your Driver's License) or if you purchase a Museum Entry Fee of NZD 25 for International Visitors or if you donated any amount for New Zealand Residents. It is accessible from 10am up to 5pm when the museum also closes. For the parking, there are numerous free parking spaces in Auckland Domain but for a certain time period. Teddy Bear Museum in Seoul, South Korea (BEAR WONDERLAND)

Teddy Bears would always be a child`s best sleeping buddy and even sometimes, his best friend. I fell in love with Teddy Bears when I was in High School because of its texture, appearance and its company. Yes, I am a self-confessed late bloomer. My teddy bears were all baptized. I have given them names and I even talked to them before I go to sleep.  Although, most would say I am psychotic for that matter but talking sometimes to an inanimate object was actually a stress-relieving activity. Paradise Indian Food in Auckland

  Our Take-Away/Take-Out Ronald loves Indian cuisine. It is because he loves spicy food. No amount of spiciness can make him cry or perspire. This is the reason why whenever we order food I cannot share it with him because I cannot eat it. A craving for Ronald means finding Indian food which is indirectly proportional to me because if I say I'm craving there could be a zillion things I could be craving for and he would be devastated in figuring what I want. The predicament I have when he said he is craving is that I cannot cook aunthentic Indian food. The Big Hoot 2018

Parliament of owls :) Are you dreaming of becoming a treasure hunter? If you are, then, you must do the Big Hoot Trail in Auckland. The Big Hoot Trail was created to support the Child Cancer Foundation in raising funds that will help the children who have been battling the Big C and their families. It provides awareness to the masses and give them the opportunity to get involved. At the end of the trail, all the owls will be auctioned in May 29, 2018 to raise funds to support over 1700 families who fights cancer in New Zealand. The Trail Map was launched last March 3, 2018 and will have its ending day (fly away day) at May 6, 2018. Each owl was like a treasure waiting to be unlocked. Niall Horan in Auckland 2018

When Ticket Master announced Niall Horan is coming to Auckland, I was intrigued. I know that he is part of One Direction before but I was more of a Backstreet Boy Fan...age-related. But when his ticket was put on special I said I better buy it since Ronald and I like his song, "Slow Hands." 🎫 Weeks before his much awaited concert, I asked my co-worker to swap our shift so I can see his concert. Good thing enough, she said yes 🤠🤠🤠 Another preparation I did was to listen to his album, "Flicker." Due to his sound, I fell in love with all of his songs. He is actually really good. The man here is carrying his skin The guy/girl holding his/her heart Plastination is one of the most controversial things when it comes to medicine and the healthcare field. However, it is also an innovation that helps healthcare professionals understand the human body. I found myself wondering that if back in college while studying Anatomy and Physiology I would get better grades if I was given a chance to see Body Worlds Vital. Learning Anatomy and Physiology is hard since you only visualize things by means of looking in your black and white book. Internet is not yet popular and only rich people can have access with it.
