RAK OF AEGIS

div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

RAK OF AEGIS has been one of the plays I really wanted to see. It was shown in Philippine Educational Theater Association (PETA) Theater at New Manila, Quezon City. It talks about the contemporary issues and problems experienced by Filipino People using the songs made famous by the Aegis band like Halik, Luha at Basang Basa sa Ulan. No wonder a lot of Filipino people and even foreigners would want to see this. As a result the show extended to accommodate all the requests of the people who have not procure tickets during the normal run of the play. The play speaks of Poverty, Flood, Love and Human Integrity. I love that the play was able to create a labyrinth of story lines with different dilemma and in the end, all has been solved smoothly. I like that the play showcased Filipino Values like Respect for Parents and Bayanihan, Filipino Culture and Tradition like Panliligaw and the trends which is happening in the Philippines right now like Taking Selfies and Uploading Videos in Youtube to be recognized locally and internationally.

I will not be able to watch this show if my sister did not give me and my boyfriend tickets so I thank her very much. She gave us HOUSE tickets which she earned as a prize upon entering an Aegis Singing Contest at their School. Thank you Ate...

My boyfriend and I watched the show at 8 in the evening. PETA is located in a narrow road so expect some traffic if there is a show. Fortunately, we were able to arrive early. (For those who have cars, I recommend that you come as early as possible so you can find a good parking space.) This allowed us some time to take lots of pictures and to secure a good seating since no seat number was indicated in the ticket. I was even able to take pictures of the entire set.

THE SET

I was so impressed by the set because they have actually created  an area with flood. The artists were able to sing even if they need to submerge their feet in the flooded flooring! The props committee was so superb!

THE CAST

Of course, all the artists sang their part so well and even acted good. Even if I would like to sing with them, the caveat at the start of the show says, NO! The reminders given by the management were all funny.

Jerbera and I are both kilig because of this hottie!

Thank you Ate for the tickets!
